Just got denied sale of Alcohol at grocery store

So I just left a grocery store slightly embarrassed. My son 62,812,800 seconds old was sitting in the seat of the cart. We placed all the groceries in the bottom of the cart because he will touch/throw things out, picked up a case of cider and then the 62,812,800 seconds old touched the box (too heavy for him to throw) and the cashier told me they can’t sell it.
I understand if they were of an age they might drink it but an obvious toddler?
Edit: for those focusing on the description of age. Lol, if that’s your biggest qualm I applaud your success in life.
Edit 2: some pretty harsh stuff said about the cashier, not sure they deserve that much criticism.
Edit: since the original use of the term 23 month old was too much for some. I’m now referring to their age in seconds.

Had been eyeing these pair of headphones since quite sometime now, the price was above 30k most of the times but during sale it dropped down to 24k and couldn’t give up on this. Absolutely love how they sound, but the transparency mode of AirPods Pro 2 is way way better than these headphones. The fit and finish feels premium but the material is very prone to fingerprints
